WHY SHOULD I GET A MEDICAL CANNABIS CERTIFICATION?
The cannabis plant has been used for centuries for its beneficial medical properties. For many years it was outlawed within all 50 states. With renewed research into its beneficial health properties the use of cannabis for medical purposes is currently legal in 29 US states, plus the territories of Guam and Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, as of April 2017

In 2000 Hawaii became the first state to legalize medical use by state legislature with the Medical Cannabis Registry Program created by Act 228 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2000), and is codified in the Hawaii Revised Statutes at part IX,
Chapter 329, HRS.

As a medical professional with 18+ years of health care experience I strongly support the use of medical cannabis to treat, stabilize and cure numerous debilitating medical conditions.

Medical cannabis use is a natural, organic & healthy alternative, to the all to commonly prescribed addictive, synthetic, expensive and potentially dangerous pharmaceuticals.

Hawaii law requires all qualified patients to be registered with the Medical Cannabis Registry Program before they begin to use cannabis for medicinal purposes. The registration process begins when an appropriately licensed physician certifies that the patient has a health condition that can benefit from medical cannabis. The patient is registered when the Department of Health issues a 329 Registration Card. The department’s goal is to issue the patient’s 329 Registration Card in a timely manner so that patients can begin or continue to legally use
medical cannabis.
